I found a rather unusual veneer at my local wood dealer. After some time I decided to make a cupboard for the studio out of it. The colourful 'American Poplar' veneer asked for a quieter counterpart: in this case, a granite from Switzerland as a worktop with an underconstruction made of zinc sheeting.
